How to prepare mate:

1. Fill your mate about two-thirds full with yerba.
2. Cover the top with your hand, turn it upside down, and shake gently to distribute the leaves.
3. Tilt the yerba to one side to create a slope.
4. Add a little lukewarm or cool water to the lower side first.
5. Insert the bombilla into the moist area.
6. Slowly pour warm water (around 75–80°C) into the same spot.
7. Refill as needed and enjoy.

Tips:

• Avoid boiling water, as it can make the yerba taste bitter.
• Keep pouring water in the same area to preserve the flavour longer.
• Also great for tereré with cold water or juice.
